Beginning of March

For preschool homework Rett has to choose one square from an assignment sheet to do every day. One day he had to answer a question and this was his answer!! Love this cute boy!

Having fun at the new bouncy house place that is right down the street from us!! I am so happy this place opened, we will be there enjoying the air conditioning all summer!

James started working on his pinewood derby car in his den meetings. They have been meeting at his den leader's house so that they can use his tools. He and Anthony designed it together and had so much fun doing it.

More fun at school. I love that his teacher posts pictures so I can know what to ask him about. He totally forgets everything they do!

James's den leader and another friend of ours are both really interested in bees. They asked if Anthony would show them bee stuff in person, so they had fun hanging out with Anthony and the bees one Saturday morning. Big kids!

James made a snow angel at the beach:

I won an advanced reader copy of a book from goodreads! It was so awesome to get a free book in the mail!

Finally pinewood derby time!

James's pack has a fancy electronic timer track, so each car races on each lane and then the computer averages their speed. At the end it posts the results by speed, so you have no idea who is winning until the very end. James ended up being 9th out of 22. He was happy with it!

They had lots of fun, and it was all over in 1 hour. I've never been to a more efficient pinewood derby!

I came outside one afternoon to find a wild turkey hanging out with the chickens! It was the craziest thing! She was just walking around like she belonged there.

I went back inside the house and came out a few hours later, thinking she was probably gone. Then I found her on the hood of my car!

She spent all afternoon hanging around, even sitting down in the yard. She came back a few times after that but I haven't seen her since then. The things that happen in the country!
