March 2021

Anthony and I went on a double date with some friends and tried out a new axe throwing place in Daytona. It was so much fun! It was a lot harder than it looked, but after a while, we got the hang of it and got quite a few bullseyes.

James went to a paintball birthday party. They had a blast! On their first course, James got hit right on the face mask. He thought it was so cool, he didn't want to wipe it off!

Ready for battle!

The boys and my coworkers' kids who have to wait for us after school created a club name out of all of their names. I thought it was so creative!

The cutest little chick hatched from a hen's nest. For some reason, she was the only one so we brought her inside for safety.

Anthony started taking karate and James moved up to the advanced class to do it with him. Anthony is loving it! James thinks is fun to get to do it with Anthony also. So now Rett goes Monday and Wednesday nights and Anthony and James go Tuesday and Thursday nights.

A friend in my running group created a trail run for her birthday and she convinced us to participate. The course had a 9 mile, 18 mile or 36 mile option. We did the 9 mile course together and it was looooong!

Baymax taking advantage of Anthony being his height:

Rett was sitting and playing on the ipad with his legs in the air. How is that comfortable??

Selfies with the boys at school:

For the first few days of spring break, the boys had karate camp. Their favorite part is lunchtime when they get to eat pizza and play on their ipads.

Rett had a stomachache, so he stayed home with my mom while Anthony, James and I went to Daytona to run some errands. A magician happened to be visiting the shopping center! James loved participating in his magic tricks.

We spent a few minutes at the arcade next to bass pro. We discovered they had glow in the dark bowling, so we decided to come back another time with Rett to try it out.

Final day of karate camp! Each student got a chance to do their kata in front of everyone and all the senseis.

Award time!

While the boys were in karate camp, I finished studying and took my Reading certification exam. It was a lot harder than I thought it was going to be, but thankfully I passed!

James advanced to his purple belt!

The last half of spring break we took a short trip back to Venice beach to do some more shark teeth collecting. The waves were much rougher than when we went last year, so we weren't able to find as many shark teeth. We still had fun being on vacation and swimming at the beach and at the hotel pool.

We tried to do some lake fishing at a state park close to the hotel, but we didn't have any luck. We decided to pack up and go see a movie instead!

Later in the evening Anthony and I drove down to the beach to watch the sunset. It is amazing how quickly it sets!

Shark tooth in the sand!
