Our little man turned 4! It kind of stinks having a birthday right after a hurricane, because with all the stress and clean up and with Anthony being away helping people around the state, we really didn't do anything big. Rett did ask for cupcakes, so I made some but then he decided he didn't like them. He wanted to get straight to the presents!
We sang and opened presents the night before his actual birthday since the next night Anthony would be at work and we wouldn't all be together for it.

The morning of his actual birthday, Anthony and I got to spoil Rett all day while James was in school. He got to be the one to get the eggs from the chicken coop this time (usually it is James' job and they both love to do it and fight over whose turn it is):
We decided to drive to the consignment store all the way in Daytona so that he could take his pick of toys. He had fun looking and playing with everything until he finally decided on a few transformers and a car race track.
Next we went to Publix for lunch,a cookie, and a balloon!
After we picked up James from school, Anthony had already gone off to work so I took the boys to chuckecheese for games and dinner. They went around doing everything together. It was so cute!
After chuckecheese we walked over to the playground to play for a little bit.
When we got home, there were two birthday cards in the mail for Rett and it was sooooo exciting for him to open them. Getting mail as a kid is so magical! It doesn't hurt when that mail has money in it ;)
I love that our ward has such wonderful people in it, one woman decided that her way to serve was to write a card and send it with a dollar coin to each primary child on her birthday. She doesn't have a calling in primary, she just does it! Our bishop also called my phone that morning so that he could talk to Rett and wish him happy birthday. Love it!

I did my yearly birthday interview with Rett and he had some interesting answers. All of his interests, likes and dislikes are heavily influenced by what James likes or doesn't like :) We sure do love having this wonderful little boy in our family!

Wow, how is he already 4 years old?!? Time is crazy!! It really stinks that we don't live by you guys, Nolan and Dallin would love to play with those cute boys of yours! And he likes PJ Masks, that's Nolan's favorite, he has the backpack, and with his birthday money he bought the gecko with his vehicle. What a fun bday celebration, aw, I remember when I used to be a good mom and do big bdays like that for my kids... Okay, your kids' bday are in my phone so I won't forget again, we'll call them from now on!!
