Key West Vacation Part 2

At the end of the week, we decided to visit the Key West cemetery to do some iguana hunting. The last time we were there we remembered seeing tons of iguanas and they don't have as many places to hide so we thought we would have more luck. As we were pulling in James said that he had said a prayer that we would catch one and that he felt the holy ghost give him a feeling that we would. No pressure!

While Anthony and James went in one direction, I followed a baby iguana to this tree. Can you see how good his camouflage is? He is right in the middle of the picture.

After about 20 minutes, they were successful! They were both so excited to have a baby iguana to bring home. We named him Casper since we caught him in a cemetery. When we brought him home, our friend who stayed with us said, "You got a haunted iguana???" :)

Rett sniffing the flowers:

Even after we caught Casper, the iguana hunters couldn't quit! This was the technique: Anthony would scare it towards James and James would be ready on the other side to grab him.

This awesome tree was near where we parked. The boys loved the skeleton inside! Rett kept asking to "go see the skeleton"

We stopped at kmart on the way home to get a tub for Casper to stay in until we could bring him home. Look at that face!

My mom wanted to try some famous key lime pie from a restaurant called Blue Heaven, so we made a trip there just to buy the pie. They are known for letting chickens wander around the patio while you eat, so I also got a chicken tshirt from their gift shop. The pie was delicious!

These are some sunset pictures a friend took while we were down there. It really was this beautiful!

All of the lobster catches:

We had one night where we did a huge dinner for everyone, cooking up the lobster and the fish different ways. It was sooooo good.

On the way home we stopped to feed the tarpon, but they weren't that hungry so we didn't get to see them jump out of the water like we did last year. The boys still had fun though!

This is our video we made of the GoPro clips of the best lobster catches and Anthony spearfishing. Since we did it last year, we decided to make a tradition of doing it every year and sharing it with everyone.
